Three women forming a heart in an arch

Slumber Party Retreat

You feel stuck, burnt out, and tired of caring for everyone else’s needs. You’ve been on the back burner of your own (and others’) priority list for longer than you should have been. And you often wonder if you’re still fun.

When’s the last time you had space to play without feeling like you had to be productive? Or to connect with others where the emphasis wasn’t on performance?

When’s the last time you had a weekend away where someone else took care of YOU? How long has it been since you were greeted with no to-do list, and no fire to put out that someone else created?

This isn’t a weekend where you’re going to learn how to become a better version of yourself — it’s about remembering the version of yourself that could be spontaneous, silly, and fun.

Why this Retreat?

There are a lot of retreat spaces where you could get personal enrichment, business networking opportunities, learn a particular skill, or focus on healing a part of your life that feels damaged.

This isn’t that retreat. This is a retreat for slowing down, to put your phone or laptop away, to cut loose from having to produce, or even dig in deep emotionally.

Melissa and Jacqui listen to women every day who talk about how successful they are but feel like they have to do it all, that relaxation has to be productive in order to be enjoyed, and who long for friendship but even that gets lost in all of the mental, physical, and emotional load they carry.

This leaves them tired, burnt out, and lonely. Maybe that feels familiar to you?

Don’t you long to return to the parts of yourself that knew how to play? Don’t you wish you could stop holding it all together and just be?

Meet The Team!

A woman with short blonde hair, glasses, tattoos on her arms, wearing a navy tank top, is smiling and holding a yellow notebook outdoors in a natural setting with trees and sunlight in the background.

Jacqui Nelson

Jacqui Nelson, MA, LMHC is a relational therapist to her core. She works from the premise that we are harmed in relationship and we heal in relationship. From that space she invites people to dive deeper into their stories, to make sense of what has shaped them, to connect more deeply with self and others, and to find healing from trauma that so often occurs when we’re harmed by others.

Jacqui not only works with people in one-on-one therapy, but also in group settings. She believes the power of connection comes in the collective gathering of others where we can learn to show up authentically, honestly, and in our own particularity.

She’s a wine lover, a powerlifter, pizza eater, loves traveling, and a dog mom.

Woman in a forest

Melissa Roloff

Melissa Roloff, LMHC, LCPC, Reiki Practitioner, is a holistic therapist and energy worker devoted to creating spaces where people can soften, reconnect, and remember themselves outside of productivity and performance.

Her work blends clinical mental health care with intuitive, somatic, and ritual based practices. Drawing from psychotherapy, Reiki, mindfulness, storytelling, and nervous system regulation, Melissa creates experiences that feel both deeply supportive and refreshingly human.

Melissa is especially passionate about offering spaces that invite a return to play, rest, and relational connection. These are the parts of ourselves that often get lost under responsibility, caretaking, and survival. Her work is intentionally gentle and welcoming, meeting people exactly as they are without pressure to fix or transform anything.

She holds space with warmth, humor, and grounded presence. Melissa believes healing happens not only through insight, but through shared stories, stillness, connection, and being witnessed in community.

Chef Oscar Nelson

Chef Oscar Nelson grew up in North Spokane in Mead, WA. As a true artist, he was often found working with wood, metal, or food. He was encouraged by an art teacher to attend college to pursue art which propelled him to attend Eastern Washington University and complete a Bachelors in Fine Arts.

This led Oscar to becoming a graphic designer and project manager. While he enjoys the work he does, his real passion is creating exceptional food. You can find him in the kitchen working on a new recipe or trying one out by a chef he feels inspired by.

This last year he opened his first food truck, Just the Wurst Food Truck, which serves craft-made bratwursts. He creates every spice blend, makes the sausage, and comes up with unique toppings for each one. His greatest desire is to create an unforgettable experience with his cuisine.

FAQs

Q: Does the fee cover all meals and activities?

A: Yes! When you purchase your rooming option this includes all meals for the weekend, all activities, and swag. Who doesn’t like swag?!

Q: Will there be any down time to go be alone if I need it?

A: Yes absolutely. We’ll build in break times and space for people to go take time however they need throughout the weekend.

Q: What kinds of activities will we be doing?

A: While we are still working on the schedule of events for the retreat, what you can know is that everything is optional. However, some of what we do know you’ll get to experience is a welcome cocktail hour, late night talks with new friends, your stomach hurting from so much laughing, charcuterie and other snacks, being in your pj’s all weekend, feeling seen and understood by other women who feel just like you.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy if I commit to come and then have to cancel?

A: We understand that life happens. There are no refunds beyond August 1, 2026. You are welcome to sell or transfer your spot to someone else if you have to cancel after that date.

In the event that we do not get enough people who are committed to coming to the event, we will offer back 75% of your fee. 25% will be used to cover any administrative costs and supplies purchased.

Q: How will the Pillow Talk Room feel comfortable?

A: We recognize that sharing a room with women you may have never met can feel uncomfortable. We’ve thought about how we can make this room feel more inviting: noise machines, sleeping eye masks, ear plugs. We’ll do what we can to make this feel as comfortable as possible for all different kinds of sleepers. If you have any suggestions please let us know!

Q: Is smoking allowed on the premises?

A: Smoking is not allowed on the grounds. If you smoke and need to leave the property to go take care of yourself, feel free to do so.
