How I Practice
Through my training as a relational psychodynamic therapist, I value working in spaces of deep emotional work and getting into the nitty gritty of your story. I am not interested in merely changing your behavior — I want to listen to the deeper parts of who you are and help you make sense of why you do what you do.
I show up authentically and invite you to do the same. I express what I am feeling and stay close to my personal experience of what’s happening between us, and ask you to do the same.
Ultimately, everything we do is going to be highly relational, non-judgmental, you can show-up-as-you-are and just be. There will never be homework or behavioral adjustments just to relieve symptoms. Relational therapy provides space to learn how to be honest, to work out conflict in real time, attain a sense of safety within a trusted relationship, and to name what you’ve never named before.
We’re going to get messy together.
For therapy to work well, it’s important that you bring an uncensored version of yourself. I invite you to say what’s on your mind in the moment, to be honest about your experiences, and to allow me to come alongside of you in this journey.
“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than be alone in the light.”
