Identity Deconstruction & Reconstuction
After I was asked to leave my church, I went on a long journey of returning to myself. I didn’t know that the identity of being “the good church girl” needed to be disrupted.
Over a period of years, I began to evaluate the narratives that were running around in my mind that I didn’t even know were there and I began to disrupt what wasn’t working any longer.
From there, the journey of reconstruction began. I had to find myself again. But that required me to go back to spaces that I otherwise would have loved to forget to begin again. I had to go on a rescue mission for my self.
And that’s the work I do with my clients. I’m inviting you into returning to yourself. We have to go back to the stories and the traumas you hold to get clear about who you are. Ultimately, we find that you’ve always known — we just have to get back to some deeper parts of ourselves to find that person.
